I offer face to face appointments from my counselling room in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, and online or telephone sessions for clients across the UK.

About my counselling practice

Hi I’m Donna, a qualified counsellor based at Leigh House in Pudsey, close to Leeds and Bradford.

I have a naturally warm and calm approach which I hope will help you to feel comfortable in our sessions.

I provide a safe environment where you can be yourself and discuss your thoughts, feelings and worries without the fear of being judged.

Alongside my counselling qualifications, I have extensive experience supporting those affected by and going through treatment for a breast cancer diagnosis.

I offer in-person, online and telephone sessions, whichever you feel would work better for you.

I am an associate counsellor with Wellbeing in the Arts and Healthwork, a support worker with Leeds Playhouse and a creative soul.

How counselling support can help you

I know just how tough and overwhelming life can feel at times.

Perhaps you are struggling to manage your feelings following a loss, bereavement, or a significant change in your circumstances?

You may be experiencing stress and anxiety, which could be affecting your confidence and self-esteem. Or you might feel that something is not quite right, but aren’t sure what the problem is.

I can help by providing you with a breathing space, some regular time just for you where you can talk about the difficulties in your life that you are finding hard to manage.

Working together to understand and explore your feelings, we can find a way for you to move forward positively.

Counselling frequently asked questions

  • Yes, I offer a 15-20 minute telephone call so you can tell me a little more about your situation and the reasons you are seeking counselling. This gives us both the chance to see if I am the right therapist for you.

There is no charge for this.

  • I offer both short and long term counselling, however the number of sessions needed varies for each individual.

To maximize the benefits of counselling, I suggest starting with regular sessions on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

I will check in with you regularly to ensure you are continuing to get the support you need from me.

  • Each counselling session is 50 minutes long.

  • My fee is £50 per session.

I accept payment by bank transfer or cash in advance of the session.

I offer discounted rates for students and those who are unemployed, please enquire for further details.

  • If you would like to reschedule or cancel your appointment I ask for 24 hours notice by text or email or you will be charged for the session.

However I do recognise that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and in such emergencies, you will not be charged.

If I need to cancel a session I will give you as much notice as possible and you will not be charged.
